Climate change is caused by greenhouse gas emissions increasing in our atmosphere over the years and these gasses trap heat so that our planet warms up. That causes all types of issues.
The main way we generate energy to heat our homes, move ourselves with cars, busses, airplanes and boats is by burning fossil fuels. The burning of these fuels generate emissions that are released freely in our atmosphere and it's these gases that trap the heat. Some of these gases stay for many years in our atmosphere.
Electricity generation comes in part from renewable sources that don't emit carbon dioxide into our atmosphere.
Solar panels generate electricity with no emissions, sound, vibrations, thermal or light pollution. It's magic, and that's why we love this technology so much.
